Private lessons are the most popular way to study music. Students of all ages and skill levels will enjoy private music lessons. The Kenosha Conservatory of Music offers private music lessons in several instruments with performance opportunities for all students.
The Basic’s of Private Lessons:
Private lessons are scheduled weekly and are 30 minutes in length. These are not group lessons they are one on one with the instructor. This allows students to work at their own pace and also allows the instructor to personalize the lessons to the students needs and interest.
Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Our youngest student in private lessons is 5 and our oldest is 82 years old. Music lessons can be enjoyable for everyone. Ages may vary per instrument.
Students will learn and understand standard notation, rhythm, tabs and chart reading that applies to their instrument. They will also have opportunities to learn popular music as well standards.
All private lessons are scheduled weekly unless otherwise noted on our Academic Calendar (Please see our Academic Calendar for more information).
All students will have performance opportunities in our Spring and Fall Recitals and Music Class/Ensemble Concerts.
The Kenosha Conservatory of Music starts each new student with a trial period for private lessons. This helps the student as well as the parents to see how private lessons will fit into students schedules with practice and attendance. Our trial periods are either One Free Trial Lesson, One Month Trial (most popular), Exploratory Lessons or a Special Offers (Holiday Special & Summer Specials). All trial periods and special offers are at a reduced tuition rate for new students. Once a student completes their trial period, they will then need to enroll as a full time student to continue Private Lessons. There is no commitment for Private Lessons other then a two week notice of withdraw.
Tuition rates are based on our current monthly fee for private lessons of $94. Tuition can be paid by the year, quarterly, every other month or monthly. All tuition rates are locked in for the entire term students are actively enrolled in private lessons. Students that withdraw or suspend lessons and re-enroll at a later date will be subject to the current tuition rates. Please contact us for offers regarding New Student and Returning Student tuition rates.
The Kenosha Conservatory of Music charges a one time registration fee of $25. Registration fees will be due on the second month of lessons after all trial periods are completed.
Students are encouraged to practice and have fun!
